Marco Casagrande

Title: Principal of the Casagrande Laboratory, Finnish architect, environmental artist, architectural theorist, writer and professor of architecture.
Topic: From Forest to City
Marco Casagrande (born 1971) graduated from the Helsinki University of Technology Department of Architecture in 2001. From the early stages of his career Casagrande started to mix architecture with other disciplines of art and science landing with a series of ecologically conscious architectural installations around the world. All in all, more than 70 realized works in 14 countries. He is the laureate of the European Prize for Architecture 2013, Committee of International Architecture Critics CICA Award 2013 for conceptual and artistic architecture and UNESCO & Locus Foundation’s Global Award for Sustainable Architecture 2015.
Teemu Hirvilammi

Topic: Wooden building in modern
Teemu Hirvilammi is a Finnish architect and an expert in wooden architecture. He worked in several architecture offices before becaming a partner in Lassila Hirvilammi Architects (2004-2014). During that time he was honored with Pietilä Award for young architects 2010 and 2011 Mies van der Rohe –price short listed for Kuokkala Church (with Anssi Lassila and Jani Jansson). 2014 Teemu Hirvilammi established his new architectural studio and found his passion in teaching architecture.
